Peer Review Policy

The International Journal of Machine Learning and Engineering (IJMLE) follows a double-blind peer review process to ensure the highest standards of academic integrity, objectivity, and fairness in the evaluation of submitted manuscripts. The policy ensures that both authors and reviewers are anonymous throughout the review process, promoting unbiased and impartial feedback. Below are the key aspects of our peer review policy:

  1. Double-Blind Peer Review:
Both the identities of the authors and reviewers are concealed during the review process. This helps prevent any potential bias and ensures the focus is solely on the quality and relevance of the research.

  2. Submission and Initial Screening:
Once a manuscript is submitted, it undergoes an initial screening to assess its suitability for the journal. This includes checking for plagiarism, ensuring that the manuscript fits the journal's scope, and confirming that it meets the journal’s formatting requirements.

  3. Assignment to Reviewers:
If the manuscript passes the initial screening, it is assigned to two or more reviewers who are experts in the subject matter of the manuscript. Reviewers are chosen based on their knowledge and expertise in the field of machine learning and engineering.

  4. Review Process:
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript on several criteria, including:

    • Originality and contribution to the field

    • Methodology and experimental design

    • Relevance and clarity of results

    • Writing quality, including clarity and coherence

    • Citations and use of references

Reviewers provide constructive feedback and recommendations for revisions. The authors are required to address reviewers' comments in a detailed manner when resubmitting the manuscript.

  5. Decision and Communication:
After the review process, the journal editor considers the reviewers' feedback and makes a decision on whether to accept, reject, or request revisions for the manuscript. The decision is communicated to the authors along with reviewers' comments and suggestions.

  6. Revisions:
If revisions are required, authors are given a specific period to revise their manuscript and resubmit it. Revised manuscripts are re-evaluated to ensure that the necessary changes have been made and that the concerns of the reviewers have been addressed.

  7. Final Decision:
After reviewing the revised manuscript and assessing the quality of revisions, the editorial team makes a final decision on publication. In cases of disagreement between reviewers, additional reviewers may be consulted to reach a consensus.

  8. Ethical Guidelines:
IJMLE adheres to the highest ethical standards, ensuring that the peer review process is transparent, confidential, and fair. Reviewers are required to disclose any conflicts of interest, and they are asked to treat all manuscripts as confidential.

  9. Open Peer Review:
In some cases, the journal may choose to implement open peer review, where reviewer comments and the authors' responses are published alongside the article upon acceptance. This transparency promotes accountability and trust in the review process.

  10. Reviewer Incentives:
Reviewers who provide high-quality, timely feedback are acknowledged for their contributions in the journal, and they may be eligible for certificates or other incentives as a token of appreciation for their service.
